Eat clean day #3 – Eat your greens!
Eat clean action step:
Eat 2-4 servings of green food per day!
Green foods such as kale, spinach, dandelion, arugula and Swiss chard are some of the healthiest and energizing foods you can eat. Chock full of vitamins and minerals -greens are also a wonderful source of fiber and anti-oxidants such as beta-carotene.
Great for weight loss, green foods are very low in calories and work great as the perfect free “fill me up” food source.
To boost your green intake, try throwing a handful of spinach or kale into your morning smoothie or add chopped up spinach into your omelet. You can also use various sources of lettuce (i.e. Boston lettuce) as a wrap for your burgers or patties. Arugula or kale can also be used in your daily salad or added into your winter chilies.
