Orange, Ginger Scented Beef Kabobs

Jazz up your beef by infusing tasty flavours.

500 grams diced braising beef 
1 cup diced green zucchini  
1 cup diced red pepper
1 cup shiitake mushroom caps
1 cup diced onion
2 tbsp grape seed oil
Marinade
1 cup orange juice   
1 tbsp chopped fresh ginger  
1 whole star anise
1 clove finely chopped garlic
1 tbsp chopped fresh mint
1 tbsp soya sauce
1/2 tbsp hoisin sauce

Method

  1. Place the beef, orange juice, ginger, anise, garlic, mint, soya sauce and hosin sauce in a zip lock bag.  Toss around to mix well and place in the fridge overnight. 
  2. Remove the beef from the marinade and build the beef kabob using the vegetables.
  3. Sear the kabobs using the grape seed oil in a pan over high heat.
  4. Once brown, place in a 400F degree oven for 5 to 7 minutes.
  5. Season with salt and pepper, then serve.
