This yummy sauce tastes great with roasted or grilled pork tenderloin.
1 pound apples (whatever type you desire)
1/4 cup water
lemon juice (optional)
Quarter apples. Peel, core and cut them into chunks.
In a medium saucepan with water, simmer over medium heat. Cook about 20 minutes or until soft.
Stir periodically. Mash with a potato masher if you like a smother texture.
Depending on sweetness of apples, you may need to add a sprinkle of sugar or a squirt of lemon juice.
Enjoy as is or over vanilla ice cream.
