Cake stands are great for presentation, especially come summer entertaining time. Sarah Gunn shows us how you can make one inexpensively!
Materials:
– small and large wooden plaques
– wooden table legs
– wood glue
– paint
– varnish
– craft paper or wax paper
How To:
– Centre the table leg on the base and glue in place.
– Once that has set, glue the top to the wooden leg.
– Once dry, apply at least 2 coats of paint.
– Finish with a coat of varnish.
Note: Paint is not food grade so set a piece of co-ordinating scrapbook paper, cut to size, on the top of the stand (or a piece of wax paper) before setting food on the stand.
