Painted door mats are an easy way give your doorway a fresh look. Whether you’re looking for a refresh, or going through season changes, Leigh-Ann Allaire-Perrault shows us how to customize your door mat.
Materials:
– IKEA sisal mats
– letter and leaf stencils
– stipple paint brush
– low tack spray adhesive
– Benjamin Moore Aura exterior paint
Method:
– Lightly spray the back of the letter stencils with low tack adhesive and firmly place them on the sisal rug.
– Using a stipple brush, apply the exterior paint in a repetitive dabbing motion over the stencil cut out.
– Immediately remove the stencil and allow to thoroughly dry before use.
