Easter candy centerpiece

Materials required:

  • Rectangular, tall glass vase
  • Tall, round glass cup
  • Easter Peeps and jelly beans
  • Colourful flowers
  1. Select a rectangular, tall glass vase.
  2. Place a tall, round glass cup in the center of the vase.
  3. Fill the area between the cup and and the vase with jelly beans.
  4. Add a row or two of Easter peeps on top of the jelly beans.
  5. Place colourful flowers into the glass cup along with some water.

Easter flower centerpiece

Materials required:

  • Decorative lacquer or melamine mixing bowl
  • Top soil
  • Tall flower/plant of your choice
  • Faux Easter grass or moss
  • Decorated Easter eggs
  1. Select a decorative vessel, such as a lacquer or melamine mixing bowl.
  2. Fill bowl ¾ full with top soil.
  3. Plant a tall flower / plant of your choice in the center.
  4. Place artificial Easter grass or moss to cover the soil.
  5. Adorn with various decorated Easter eggs on top of moss.

Bird cage centerpiece

Materials required:

  • Birdcage
  • Faux Easter grass or moss
  • Faux or real tree / flower branches
  • Sewing thread
  • Felt flowers and/or birds
  1. Fill the base of the cage with faux Easter grass.
  2. Place faux or real tree / flower branches into the cage.
  3. Using sewing thread, hang simple felt bird cut outs, faux birds and /or flowers on the branches inside the cage.

Hurricane centerpiece with cylindrical glass candle insert

Materials required:

  • Hurricane lantern with cylindrical glass insert
  • Faux Easter grass
  • Jelly beans
  • Chocolate bunny
  • Faux pearls or rhinestones (optional)
  1. Fill the base of the hurricane with faux Easter grass.
  2. Fill the base of the glass candle insert with jelly beans.
  3. Adorn the chocolate bunny with faux pearls for a collar and rhinestones for the eyes if desired, and place into the center of the glass candle insert, using the jelly bean base to support the bunny upright.

Easter topiary

Materials required:

  • Styrofoam ball (small to medium size)
  • Spraypaint
  • ¼ inch wooden dowel (approx. 12 inches long)
  • Glue gun and glue sticks
  • Jelly beans
  • Florist’s foam
  • Small flower pot
  1. Spray paint a small to medium size styrofoam ball the colour of your choice.
  2. Insert a ¼ inch wooden dowel into the ball.
  3. Using a hot glue gun and small dabs of glue, affix the jelly beans to the ball.  A single jelly bean surrounded by contrasting coloured jelly beans to form a small flower like design works well.  Repeat the flower motif as desired to cover the ball.
  4. Insert the unused end of the dowel into florist foam to hold the topiary vertical in the small flowerpot.
  5. Fill the top surface of the flowerpot with jelly beans to cover the florist foam and tie a large decorative ribbon or bow on the topiary stem for a fabulous presentation.
