Bust out your slow cooker with help from Ricardo!

The Quebec chef spent a year testing the limits of what a slow cooker could do -- and the delicious results are compiled in his latest cookbook.

Think your slow cooker can only handle soups, stews, and braised meat?

Ricardo knows better. The Quebec chef spent a year testing the limits of what a slow cooker could do — and the delicious results are compiled in his latest cookbook, Ricardo: Slow Cooker Favourites.

There are more than 65 recipes for everything from lasagna and scalloped potatoes, to brownies and cheesecake, to jam. The book also contains sections on how to calibrate your slow cooker (Ricardo noticed that some models ran hot), food safety, and what to look for in a slow cooker if you’re shopping for one.
