Bacon fans, you’re going to love this recipe! Amp up your brunch with this candied bacon with maple syrup and fennel.
- 12 slices bacon
- 3 tbsp. maple syrup
- 2 tsp. brown sugar
- 1 tsp. fennel seeds
Preheat oven to 375F. Line a baking sheet with foil, then top with a wire rack.
Arrange bacon in a single layer, over-lapping slightly if needed, across rack. Stir maple syrup with sugar in a small bowl. Brush maple mixture over bacon. Sprinkle with fennel seeds. Season with fresh pepper.
Bake in center of oven until cooked through and dark golden, 25 to 35 minutes. Gently loosen bacon from rack, then let stand 5 minutes before serving.
