Materials:

  • 1 container of non-toxic school glue (clear or white)
  • Water
  • Green and yellow food colouring
  • Borax detergent
  • 2 bowls
  • 2 spoons
  • Airtight storage container

Method:

Empty the entire contents of the glue bottle in a bowl.

Fill the empty glue bottle with lukewarm water and pour it into the bowl with the glue.

Stir thoroughly using a spoon until the glue and water are mixed well.

Add about 10 drops of green and 10 drops of yellow food colouring and mix thoroughly.

In the second bowl, add about 2 cups of warm water and 1 cup of Borax. Mix using a clean spoon.

Let the water and Borax solution settle and wait to see if there is white powder sitting at the bottom. If there isn’t, add more and stir again until the water becomes completely saturated with the Borax.

Slowly pour the Borax solution into the bowl of glue and water, and mix with a spoon. You will notice the slime immediately start to form. Continue to add the Borax solution until the glue solution changes to a slimy consistency.

Pour off any excess liquid from the bowl and store your slime in an airtight container for up to a month.
