Want your makeup to last all day? Here are makeup artist Grace Lee’s insider tips and tricks.

1. Layering products is key to a long-lasting look, especially around the eyes, where makeup tends to shift. Layering a cream eye shadow on the eyelid before your powder will lengthen the life of your shadow and prevent the midday eye crease.

2. Look for waterproof formulations where possible. Finish any eye look with a waterproof mascara that will stay put all day.

3. To keep your lip colour looking fresh, use a lip liner to both line and fill your lips. Next, blot. Then finish with lipstick. Using this technique, your lips will last for hours. (Grace uses Maybelline Vivid Matte Lip Color in Nude Thrill in the video.)

4. Always set your makeup with a setting spray. They’re easy to use and work wonders. Hold the bottle about 8-10 inches away from your face, then spray across your T-zone and add a few light spritzes over the rest of your face.
