The perfect wood-fired burger

Fire up the wood barbecue and try chef Randy Feltis’ wood fired burgers. A simple recipe with only three ingredients perfect for a summer meal.

METHOD

1. Divide ground beef into 6 6oz balls (do not overwork).

2. Heat up wood fired barbeque to 600 F with pizza stone inside. Place burger ball onto plate and press down into 3/4 inch thickness. Season heavily with salt and pepper. Wait until patty has a deep thick crust and then flip. Season and form crust on the second side. Serve with your favourite garnish or straight up!
