Day #8 –Opa! Greek yogurt is a power food!
Eat clean action step:
One cup of plain, low-fat yogurt usually contains 5 to 10 grams of protein, whereas Greek yogurt averages approximately 13 to 20 grams of protein.
If you are watching your carbohydrate intake or looking for more protein – than Greek yogurt is for you! Plain Greek yogurt has double the amount of protein, half the amount of carbohydrates and lower sodium levels vs. regular plain yogurt. It’s rich and creamy taste is almost too good to be true and is the perfect morning option to fill you up.
Along with yogurt parfaits, Greek yogurt can also be used in smoothies, for dips and can be substituted in fat for baking.
