You'll want to flirt with these on trend fall skirts

Fall is finally here and skirts are taking center stage!

With fall finally here skirts are taking centre stage. The 3 top skirt trends have one thing in common they take inspiration from the 70s and all the fun, colour and extra that comes with it.

1. Slip Skirt – This asymmetrical skirt has become a staple in every it girls closet regardless or age or shape. Whether you wear it with a matching cami or add a chunky sweater to make it less precious the 70s area alive in this marigold colour. If this hue isn’t for you don’t worry, wearing it as a skirt allows you the flexibility to wear whatever colour you want and top it off with a colour that works with your complexion. Slip skirts work great on women that have an athletic build (adding curves) or women that are hour glass shape. If you are pear shaped and love a slip skirt just top it off with a knit sweater or a jacket to bring balance.

2. Faux Leather – your pocket book won’t take a hit with a faux leather skirt. You’ll see lots of pencil and full skirts in this luxe fabric. While black is the go to colour in faux skirts this cheetah print is on trend this season. Animal prints are big – python, zebra, leopard and of course cheetah. Topping it off with a pussy blouse makes it extra and very 70s.This skirt is great on all body types just watch out for length. If it’s too short is looks too junior.

3. Knit Skirts – from pleated, to full and pencil – knit skirts are a cozy reminder that knits are lovely during the fall. Knit pencil skirts are the easiest to wear and the most versatile for all body types. Bypass the black and pick a colour for fall – opulent hues that take inspiration from the 70s. This green skirt pairs perfectly with burgundy, pink, blue and brown. Just remember that knit skirts carry weight and need to be balanced with a thicker top so no t-shirts or camis with this skirt.Thing of pairing with other knit tops or a denim button down.

Animal print is in, and so are slip skirts
