Everything You Need To Know About The Relaxed Denim Trend

Align yourself with Fall's hottest jean trend with this guide.

Chances are it has been a long time since you have worn jeans. Weeks? Months? You’ll be happy to know that one of this year’s top fashion trends is relaxed denim.

Denim is one of those pieces that will last forever. It comes in so many different styles and it works with everything, which is added bonus. One style of denim that hit the 2020 fall runway is relaxed fit, which is a great because many of us had put on a bit of COVID weight and want something a bit loose. So, I’m going to tell you about some my favourite relaxed fit denim styles from my own personal collection.

High rise denim is a popular trend this season and was seen on Kaia Gerber on the 2020 Fendi RTW fall runway. Its also very comfortable and smoothes out your lower area. KOI is Dutch denim brand with a big heart for sustainable, quality garments that will last. The loose relaxed denim is light weight and not as stiff as other denims. It’s also a lighter wash and is still acceptable in the fall winter season. You can paired it with a loose turtle neck.

The mid rise relaxed is a darker wash and more structured than the loose relaxed. You could also dress this one up because it’s a darker wash, and you can paired it with a nice jacket. Both of these jeans can be paired with a heel, boots or sneakers.

90’s baggy jeans are making a comeback!

Now, when I was a teenager, I used to wear baggy pants all the time and guess what, it’s making its way back into my life but with a twist. Baggy denim pants are far more fashionable now than the ones that used to drown me. What’s really cool about the denim is that it has an elastic waist for even more comfort and it comes in an array of different shades, including burgundy and grey. I’ve paired them with a chambray shirt.

Find a bargain

And lastly, the best thing is finding a great bargain and also finding pieces that you won’t find everywhere. Mid-rise J Brand Boyfriend jeans with a distressed knee are always in style. A multicolour sweater keeps the 80s theme going.
