Start getting into the holiday mood with this festive piece of home décor.
This is a great idea as you can do it in any size – and switch it up for other holidays each year. It’s a great way to repurpose an old piece of art or stuff you have around the house.
Here is what you’ll need:
- greenery/wreath
- wood knob
- saw
- mini wood trim
- canvas or wood art
- primer
- painters tape
- glue gun
- paintbrush
- paint
Step #1: Tape off the canvas frame.
Step #2: Prime the canvas especially if there is art already on the canvas.
Step #3: Cut the trim to size to make little rectangles as detail on the door.
Step #4: Take your hot glue gun and glue the trim in place.
Step #5: Once the glue is dry, paint the door with trim in place.
Step #6: Get creative with this by changing the paint colours that you have on hand or adding a doorknob and details like a mail slot. You can even decorate with a wreath or greenery with some berries.
Tip: use stickers for the letters on the mail slot and paint over them
