Here's How To Pamper Yourself This Valentine's Day

This year, give yourself the gift of a relaxing, at-home spa day.

We’re celebrating the day of love and what better way than to take some time for yourself and do something YOU love! This year, give yourself the gift of a relaxing, at-home spa day. DIY Expert Leigh-Ann Allaire Perrault shows you how.

Bubble Bath

To create a bath worthy of a Hollywood scene, you’re going to need to get some big bubbles. The secret to this is shampoo and a manual hand mixer. Do NOT use an electric mixer! Once you’re surrounded by bubbles, find some bubble to sip in the form of champagne. The bath is also the perfect time to do a face mask, so smear one on and get to relaxing!

Himalayan Salt Bath

Not a fan of the bubbles? Maybe try a salt soak. The health benefits of a salt bath are numerous, and frankly, it’s just relaxing as heck! If you really want to run with this theme, use a granulated bath bomb, break out a salt scrub or use a massage stone. This can be a great way to feel like you’re relaxing in the Tibetan mountains.

Citrus Oil Bath

This is a newer idea, but definitely one worth exploring. It’s easy to create a picturesque spa scene with items that you likely keep in your fridge. Citrus slices, natural oils and essential oils can all make great additions to the tub. Natural oils are great for your skin, and citrus scents have an invigorating and uplifting effect. Mixing both can be the perfect recipe for relaxation and self care.
