Try these condiments/sauces and see if you don’t become a regular buck-a-shuck’er!

Mint Granita (Frozen, Sweet)  

Ingredients: 

  • 1/3 cup mint leaves, finely chopped 

Directions: 

  1. In a saucepan bring 2 cups of water to a boil, remove from heat.
  2. Finely chop the mint and add to the water to infuse for 10+ minutes or more.
  3. Strain the infused water into a container and freeze, uncovered for 1 hour or so. After 1 hour scrape with a fork to break up the mixture. Keep repeating until the texture is a snow-like texture of ice crystals. 
  4. Can keep in the freezer for up to 2 weeks.

Seafood Seasoning Aioli (Savoury, Creamy)   

Ingredients: 

  • 1 glove of garlic, minced 
  • 1 tsp Dijon mustard  
  • 1 egg yolk 
  • 1/4 cup EVO 
  • Juice of 1 lemon 
  • 1 tsp Old Bay or your fav seafood seasoning 

Directions: 

  1. Place all contents into a blender or shaker and mix up until mixed through.
  2. Can keep in an airtight container in the fridge for 3 days approx. 

Old School Marie Rose Sauce (Savoury, Creamy)  

Ingredients: 

  • 3 tbsp. of mayo 
  • 1 tbsp. capers 
  • Juice from 1 lemon 
  • 1 tbsp. of ketchup  
  • Dash of Worcestershire sauce

Directions: 

  1. Combine all ingredients into a mixing bowl and combine.
  2. Can keep in an airtight container in the fridge for 3 days approx.

Ponzu Sauce (Savoury)  

Ingredients: 

  • 1/2 cup of light soy sauce
  • Juice from 2 limes
  • 1 tbsp. rice wine vinegar
  • 1 tbsp. of Furikake seasoning

Directions: 

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine all the ingredients and mix well.
  2. Keep in an airtight container in the fridge for approx. 3 days.

  • 1/4 cup rice wine vinegar 
  • 3 tbsp. of Honey 
  • 1 tbsp. chilli paste or sriracha 
  • Salt & Pepper
