They did it!

It's the event I look forward to the most each year. Tens of hundreds of little girls breaking the finish line bursting with confidence.

It’s the event I look forward to the most each year. Tens of hundreds of little girls breaking the finish line bursting with confidence.

The 5k Girls on the Run graduation is the culmination of several weeks of self-esteem building workshops done on a grassroots level. I started volunteering with this organization before I even had kids. Now with two little ones, my commitment has been solidified. I’d like to live in a world where girls/women spend more time focused on how they’re going to break the glass ceiling, than how they’re going to break their lowest weight on the scale.

Yesterday I hugged, cheered and kissed hundreds of girls who are on the path to something great. I urge you to read more about this amazing organization, Girls on the Run, here: http://girlsontherun.ca/ If you have a child at a participating school, sign them up!

Here are some pictures from yesterday’s event. And to all my girls, I’m watching and I’m proud. Keep it up!
