For the strong coffee lovers!

When using the pour-over method to make coffee the coffee to water ratio should be 1:16, the water temp should be 204°F for a light roast or 198°F for a dark roast, and the coffee grind should be medium. For the pour-over method, I like to use the  Grosche pour-over carafe for the best results.

Ingredients

Coffee, Medium grind

Instructions

  1. First, pour hot water into the pour-over coffee carafe to rinse it out and warm it up.
  2. Next, add the filter and holder on top. If using a paper filter, please take a moment to wet the filter with your hot water before adding the ground coffee.
  3. Once you've added your measured coffee the next step is the 'Bloom', so slowly pour over just enough hot water in a circular motion just until the coffee is completely wet.
  4. Allow it to sit for 30-45 seconds before carefully pouring over the rest of the hot water in a circular motion so the carafe will fill with hot coffee.
  5. Enjoy!
