Grilled calamari with warm olives and herbs

Crispy on the outside and tender on the inside, this fresh calamari is gently seared on a sizzling grill and doused in lemon juice and garden herbs to bring out its full flavor.

Season calamari with olive oil and salt and pepper. Place on hot grill, turn after 90 seconds and repeat.  In a small pan gently heat olives, tomatoes, basil and olive oil. Place chopped herbs on a large platter and top with grilled calamari. Finish with warm olives and a splash of lemon.

This is an wonderful recipe for a quick lunch by the pool and will be making this on the weekend for my family. We have a new BBQ and deck to break in and what better way that with this simple dish.
