Jennifer’s skincare Tips:

The drier the air, the drier the skin
-During winter we heat our homes, offices and cars, which causes skin to dry out. Try a cool air humidifier in your bedroom to add moisture to the air and your skin.
Change up your diet
-Increasing your daily intake of good fats and omega fatty acids will benefit your skin
Take warm and short showers rather than hot and long showers
-Drastic changes in temperature can cause the skin to dry out, so reducing the amount of extreme temperature changes will inevitably help
Put down the exfoliator
o Over exfoliating can disrupt the skin barrier and lead to red, blotchy and inflamed skin. Aim to gently exfoliate no more than once or twice a week
Strengthen the skin’s natural protective barrier using face oils
-Face oils provide effective protection against free radical damage. Used daily, oils rich in omega 3 and fatty acids will defend against various environmental conditions. They also retain moisture more effectively than water-based creams.
