Hi,
I love your show, but I’m a little bit concerned about the recent segment on gender reveal parties. Since we know that gender is not a binary, and that some people are transgender, I think it is important to not practice gender essentialist events. I think a segment on baby showers that doesn’t equate certain interests and aesthetics with a particular gender would be more appropriate, and still capture the excitement for parents to be. We do not know a child’s gender until they are able to articulate it, so it might be helpful to also do a segment about the gender continuum. Again, I love your show, but I feel this is something that should be addressed.
Thanks,
Bronwyn
