Ingredients

4
apples
1 sheet
cut into 4 even size long thin strips puff pastry
1/2 cup
brown sugar
1/2 cup
fine sugar
1 tsp
ground cinnamon
2
yolks eggs
splash
milk
4
milk chocolate, chunks
4 tbsp
caramel sauce

Instructions

  1. Peel the apples and using an apple corer and small spoon, scoop out the core of the apples but only going three quarters of the way into the apple. Do not go through to the bottom of the apple. This will help to contain the chocolate, caramel stuffing.
  2. In a small bowl mix the two sugars and the cinnamon. Roll the apple into the sugar to give an even coat of sugar on the surface of the apple.
  3. In an small bowl, mix the egg yolk and milk. Using a pastry brush, coat the puff pastry and then wrap the apple in the puff pastry. Then brush the outside of the puff pastry wrapped apple with the remaining egg wash.
  4. Place a chunk of chocolate and a tbsp of caramel sauce in each apple. Bake at 375degrees for 15 minutes. Allow to rest for 5 minutes before serving.
