Ingredients

1 tin
Condensed milk
2 boxes
Butter shortbread
6
Candy canes
1 oz
fine Whiskey
3 twists
Black pepper
1 pinch
Sea salt

Instructions

  1. In a medium sauce pot bring condensed milk to a very soft simmer. Constantly stirring, until it slightly caramelized. Add whiskey, salt and pepper. Set aside and let cool.
  2. Smash the candy canes in the mortar with pestle. Smash them some more, now really smash them to a peppermint dust.
  3. Place 1 tablespoon of condensed milk onto a shortbread, top with another to make a tasty sweet sandwich, roll outside edge in peppermint dust and serve!
