Carson’s camping protein balls

A protein bite with a sweet surprise of chocolate in the middle.

Ingredients

1 cup
quick oats
1/2 cup
peanut butter, or almond butter
1/4 cup
ground flax seed, or chia seed
2 tbsp
dried berries, (cranberry or blueberry work best)
3
pitted dates
1 tbsp
maple syrup
1/2 tsp
cinnamon
Assorted bite sized chocolate candies

Instructions

Combine dates, peanut butter and maple syrup in a food processor until chopped and combined. Mix remaining ingredients (except the candies) until combined. Refrigerate 1 hour. Roll mixture around chocolate candies until the size of golfballs. Store in fridge or freezer until ready to use.
