Baked calzone

A classic baked calzone recipe you'll want to try at home

The one and only Chef Massimo Carpa shares his baked calzone “Napoletano” recipe. Enjoy a classic calzone dish!

“Beautiful calzone!”



  1. Stretch the dough to about 10-inch round.
  2. Spread the ricotta on half of the circle, make sure to leave a couple of inches of clean rim. 
  3. Top the ricotta with the mozzarella.
  4. add the salame and the basil.
  5. Fold the other side of the dough over the ingredients and seal the package well. 
  6. Spread the tomato sauce over it and sprinkle some parmigiano, olive oil and oregano.
  7. Bake in a well preheated oven (500f) until golden.
