Authentic Italian hot chocolate

A classic holiday drink with a delicious twist!

One of Brian Gluckstein’s favourite holiday drinks is a comforting cup of hot chocolate! Chef Massimo Capra shared a hot chocolate recipe with a decadent twist – it’s italian style! It’s so good it’ll have you saying – is this a drink or a full on dessert?

METHOD

Makes 4/5 large cups:

  1. Mix the Cocoa, sugar, and the starch together in a bowl with a whisk.
  2. Pour the milk over it and mix well. Set the chocolate mix in a saucepan and place on a medium fire, stir constantly with a silicone spatula to prevent burning.
  3. Once the chocolate starts to simmer remove from heat and serve with your favourite topping.
