With dinner prep a focal part of the final days leading up to Christmas – you’ll want to get your baking done ahead of time to free up space in the kitchen. Check out Jyoti Nanra’s favourite freeze-ahead recipes and tips to simplify your holiday cooking experience.
Every recipe mentioned can be made and frozen 2-3 weeks ahead of time, except for chocolate chip cookies.
Put the cookies into a Ziploc bag, removing all excess air from the bag. Then, place the bag into an air tight tupperware. Finally, place your cookies in the freezer.
For Jyoti’s chocolate chip cookies – make the dough balls and place them in your freezer until they’re firm. Then, transport the dough balls into a Ziploc bag and pop them back into the freezer. When you’re ready to serve them, take them out of the bag and place them in the oven.
