It’s a month into the New Year and you’ve finally found that enthusiasm to workout outdoors, but these frosty conditions can dampen even the most motivated exerciser. Well, if you are that person then you are in luck. We’ve got the tips on how to winterproof your workouts and to show us how to stay fit, warm and safe outdoors.

There are so many good reasons to get outdoors, even in the winter. For starters, the outdoors improve and reset your brain! There are studies linking fresh air to clear thinking, vasolidation, and mood-enhancing. Getting outside also helps reset your immunity, lower your blood pressure and cortisol levels, and add to your daily movement goals.

With the chilly weather in full swing, it’s important to be mindful of the temperature, including windchill.

Wearing reflective gear is important to make sure you are always visible to oncoming traffic as the nights fall. You also want to make sure you’re protected from slipping, using ice picks on your shoes keeps you upright and sturdy.
